| 4/25/2006 12:18:00 PM | Email this article Print this article | Pride Night is May 2 Sporting events, academic displays, stage performances, competitions, and a fifth and sixth grade fundraiser will all highlight Minnewaska Area High School’s Pride Night on Tuesday, May 2.
From 4-8 p.m. indoor events will take place including:
• A showcase of MAHS academic projects and organizations on display in main lobby
• Stage performances/acts in the auditorium – award winning speeches and musical performances, Spanish class skit, competition cheer squad performance
• Knowledge Bowl competition
• The best of “The Minnewaska Weekly” running on the monitors
• Fifth and sixth grade “Year End Celebration” featuring a D.J. and games (this event is for 5/6th grade students and their parents only)
• Food stands open in the main lobby – return of the popular Laker Rootbeer Floats and other food items
• Shop for School Spirit apparel and other items at the School Store
Also, Minnewaska Area Swim Boosters Club will be recycling cell phones and inkjet cartridges through May and June. People can bring in their old cell phones and ink cartridges to the Minnewaska Area High School office. The proceeds will benefit the Minnewaska Area High School and intramural swim programs. There will be a box in the high school lobby area on School Pride Night from 4-8 p.m.
