GRHS honored at community event

Acknowledging that the Glacial Ridge Hospital Board has taken some risks on recent expansion projects, Kirk Stensrud, CEO of Glacial Ridge Health System in Glenwood, said “we’ve always had the philosophy that if you aren’t green and growing, you’re brown and dying.”

The health system in Glenwood has seen tremendous growth in the past 10 years in terms of patient visits and new services, resulting in the need for additional space, staff, and more advanced technology.
Stensrud, speaking to a large crowd gathered at Lakeside for the annual award luncheon, credited that recent growth to the hospital board, the medical staff and all the employees at Glacial Ridge Health Systems (GRHS) in Glenwood.  read entire story. . . .

MAS to ask voters to renew  referendum

Minnewaska Area School District residents will decide at the General Election Nov. 8 if the district should renew an existing voter-approved referendum. The school district has proposed to renew the referendum at $213 per pupil for another 10 years.  read entire story. . . .
