Central Square is ‘preferred’ city hall site
Central Square was designated as the “preferred site” to locate city hall on a 4-0 vote at Tuesday’s city commission meeting. Mayor Scott Formo abstained.
As part of the motion, staff and the city’s building committee were directed to continue to negotiate with Central Square and move forward on details, costs and “hard criteria” for relocating city hall to Central Square.
The decision comes just weeks after the city’s building committee had recommended locating city hall in a building owned by Klick Companies.
