Lakers place doubles teams in state tourney

Minnewaska had two singles and two doubles teams in action at the Section 6A individual tennis tournament, held in St. Cloud last Wednesday and Thursday.

Myranda Thoen, who competed at #3 singles most of the year, easily won her quarterfinal match while not losing a single game. In the semifinals Thoen fell to Katie Cannon, of Morris, in three sets. Aiden Riley spent most of the year playing at doubles but had seen some time as the Lakers #4 singles player. Riley fell in straight sets in the quarterfinal round.  read entire story. . . .

Minnewaska was on the artificial turf of Alexandria High School for their final regular season home-away-from-home game of the year. The Falcons of ACGC were the opponent, entering the game with a two-game losing streak and a 3-4 record overall.  read entire story. . . .
